Attorney Recruiting Manager

Overview

In this role, you will own the full attorney recruiting lifecycle, focusing on lateral associates and student recruitment, to strengthen the firm's talent pipeline. You will blend data-driven strategy with market intelligence and leadership to deliver a high-touch candidate experience that supports firm growth. You'll partner with partners and leadership to design proactive recruiting plans and ensure exceptional service to internal and external stakeholders. This is a fast-paced, high-impact role at a leading international law firm with opportunities to shape talent strategy.

Responsibilities
  • Own full-cycle lateral associate recruiting: intake, sourcing, screening, interviews, offers, onboarding
  • Build proactive pipelines for priority practices; align with hiring partners on staffing and growth objectives
  • Maintain relationships with external recruiters; manage terms, performance, and submissions quality
  • Monitor market trends and compensation; translate insights into sourcing strategies
  • Oversee data hygiene across ATS; generate dashboards and analytics for decision-making
  • Lead student recruitment programs: OCI calendars, interviewer selection, callbacks
  • Design and manage Summer Associate Program: orientation, training, events, evaluation, conversion
  • Track student recruiting outcomes; analyze yield, acceptance drivers, ROI
  • Develop skills mapping plan to match practice group needs
  • Lead and develop Recruiting Coordinators/Specialists; enforce service standards
  • Drive cross-team projects to elevate the recruiting function; foster collaboration with attorneys and staff
Key requirements
  • 5+ years of attorney recruiting or talent management in a multioffice law firm or professional services environment
  • 2+ years of people management preferred
  • Proven success in high-volume, full-cycle legal recruiting with strong organizational skills
  • Strong consultative communication; able to influence senior stakeholders with data-backed recommendations
  • Proficiency with ATS/CRM systems (e.g., VI Recruit, FloRecruit, or similar), LinkedIn Recruiter, and Microsoft 365; track record of data integrity and reporting
  • High discretion with confidential information; calm under pressure and adaptable to last-minute changes
