Overview In this role, you will oversee field engineering and inspection activities to ensure project quality and compliance. You will interpret drawings, manage daily records, and coordinate with teams to progress construction and closeout tasks. Your work supports safe, compliant delivery of complex projects while leveraging your PE license and leadership to guide junior staff. Responsibilities- Read and interpret construction drawings and specs, resolving discrepancies
- Maintain accurate daily records of contractor activities, labor, equipment and materials
- Review construction materials for contract compliance
- Track quantities and prepare pay estimates
- Attend or chair construction progress meetings
- Observe installation and acceptance testing of equipment and systems
- Identify nonconforming work, develop and manage punch lists
- Prepare record documentation for engineer review/acceptance
- Assist with project audits and closeout
- Supervise junior Resident Project Representatives, Construction Inspectors, testing services and subconsultants
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or closely related field
- 10 years of related construction experience (estimating, bidding, purchasing, scheduling, field engineering)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license recognized by the local licensing board
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); Bluebeam, estimating & scheduling software; web-based document collaboration software
- Experience developing and managing construction engineering and inspection programs
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
