Overview In this role you will guide clients through comprehensive estate planning, trust administration, and elder law matters within a collaborative, in-office setting. Responsibilities- Advise on estate planning including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance directives
- Counsel on wealth transfer, charitable giving, and tax planning
- Administer trusts and estates, including probate and Surrogate's Court filings; handle related litigation when needed
- Draft, review, and interpret complex estate planning documents and trust agreements
- Coordinate with financial advisors and other professionals to implement comprehensive plans
- Handle guardianship and elder law matters including Medicaid planning and applications
- Maintain ongoing client relationships with high service standards
Key requirements- 3+ years of experience in trust and estate planning and administration
- Admission to the New York State Bar or eligibility for admission
- Strong knowledge of estate, gift, and fiduciary income tax law
- Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
