Overview

As an experienced MSL in the Mid-Atlantic region, you will enable peer-level scientific exchange with neuromuscular clinicians and researchers to support patient-centered care. You'll build trusted relationships with KOLs, investigators, and health-system stakeholders while contributing to medical strategy and education initiatives. You'll represent UCB at conferences, drive field insights, and identify collaboration opportunities to advance care in myasthenia gravis and related disorders. This role blends science-driven engagement with cross-functional teamwork to extend patient impact.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain deep therapeutic-area expertise in myasthenia gravis and neuromuscular disorders.
  • Develop and manage peer-to-peer relationships with KOLs, investigators, and health-system/IDN stakeholders; tailor engagement plans to local needs.
  • Deliver balanced scientific exchange and clinically relevant value propositions; handle medical information inquiries and present to diverse audiences.
  • Generate and communicate field insights to inform medical strategy and tactics, including inputs for Standard Response Letters.
  • Represent UCB as a scientific expert at local, regional, and national conferences on neuromuscular disease topics.
  • Identify and support research/educational collaborations, assess IIS feasibility, and serve as liaison through publication.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Medical, RWE, access, and other partners to enhance patient care and support broader Medical Affairs projects.
Key requirements
  • Doctoral degree (PharmD, PhD, MD, DO, or DNP)
  • Minimum 1+ year of medical affairs experience in biopharma
  • Must reside within the assigned territory
  • Valid driver's license and travel up to 80% of the time
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Interpersonal skills and relationship-building
  • Team player and cross-functional collaborator
  • Therapeutic-area expertise in neurology/neuromuscular/rare diseases
  • Ability to articulate complex scientific concepts 1:1 and in groups
  • Knowledge of health economics and clinical trials
