Overview

In this role you support US Federal Agency energy programs, helping to foster sustainable energy development and strengthen governance, policy, and financing environments. You will work on programs across four technical themes-Clean Energy, Energy Poverty, Energy Sector Governance and Reform, and Energy Security-and contribute to capacity building, technical assistance, and program implementation in diverse country contexts. You engage with cross-functional teams to advance environmentally and financially sustainable energy services and private sector investment. This role offers impact across post-disaster and post-conflict recovery, growth, and poverty reduction efforts within a global aid

Responsibilities
  • Support requirements for energy program initiatives under the Energy IDIQ task orders
  • Participate in four technical themes: Clean Energy, Energy Poverty, Energy Sector Governance and Reform, Energy Security
  • Assist the Federal Agency in implementing energy sector programs focusing on regulatory, governance, and financial aspects
  • Contribute to capacity building, technical assistance, and policy/governance work to improve energy sector performance
  • Support programs in post-disaster and post-conflict contexts and promote environmentally sound growth
  • Engage with stakeholders to address institutional, technological, financial, and commercial issues in developing countries
Key requirements
  • Minimum education/experience combinations (PhD with 4+ years; ABD with 5+; MS/MA/MBA with 6+; BS/BA with 7+; less than BS/BA with 8+)
  • Background in geology, hydrology, or environmental science (labor category examples)
  • Security clearance is a valued asset for federal engagements
  • Strong teamwork, leadership, and project organization capabilities
