Overview

As MEP Manager, you will lead the coordination of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection on projects in the Phoenix area. You'll guide design coordination through construction, ensuring safety and quality within AP's incident-free culture. You'll partner with clients, subcontractors, and design teams to resolve MEP issues, manage budgets, and drive on-time delivery. This role blends technical leadership with cross-functional collaboration to shape successful project outcomes. You'll contribute to AP's mission of long-term growth and a collaborative, safety-first workplace.

Responsibilities
  • Lead project-wide MEP coordination and supervision of design and progress
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate MEP work including supervision of design teams
  • Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and authorities; ensure compliance with codes
  • Provide technical guidance to Superintendents and Project Managers
  • Review constructability and cost feasibility; perform risk assessments
  • Analyze MEP progress, costs, and budgets; prepare quantity surveys
  • Collaborate on budgets and schedules with project managers
  • Facilitate collaborative team processes and participate in design meetings
  • Develop RFPs and coordinate with MEP subcontractors
  • Produce above-ceiling and model-based coordination drawings and models
  • Monitor QA/QC standards and ensure quality plans and submittals are met
  • Coordinate with Safety to maintain an uncompromised job safety
  • Other duties as assigned
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • 6+ years of MEP and commercial construction experience
  • 5+ years of design or project management experience
  • LEED certification preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and other 3D software
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and relationship-building abilities
