Overview In this role you will serve as the primary contact for assigned surety accounts, driving strong client relationships and operational excellence. You will coordinate underwriting submissions, manage bonds, and handle renewals and cancellations in partnership with Producers and Underwriters. You will analyze financial statements, process bond transactions, and identify cross-selling opportunities to expand our services. The role combines client service, technical underwriting support, and collaboration across teams to ensure accurate, timely bonding solutions. Responsibilities- Analyze financial statements and prepare underwriting submissions
- Manage assigned surety accounts and maintain strong client relationships
- Execute bonds accurately and timely
- Process bond transactions including invoicing, renewals, and cancellations
- Coordinate underwriting documentation and requirements
- Negotiate with underwriters and carriers with Producers
- Maintain accurate account files and internal records
- Provide guidance to junior team members and cross-functional partners
- Support new business marketing efforts and client transitions
- Participate in joint client meetings and maintain carrier relationships
- Onboard and train clients on bond request procedures
- Stay updated on industry trends and communicate relevant changes
- Participate in process improvement and cross-team initiatives
- Attend industry events and association meetings
- Maintain licenses and complete continuing education requirements
- Backup responsibilities in the absence of senior staff
- Complete special projects as assigned
Key requirements- 8-10+ years of Surety/Property & Casualty insurance experience
- Property & Casualty Insurance License
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Strong understanding of surety bond processes and carrier relationships
- Ability to analyze financial statements and underwriting information
- Excellent client service, communication, and relationship management skills
- Ability to collaborate with Producers, Underwriters, and internal stakeholders
- Experience managing complex accounts and resolving escalated issues
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Experience creating and delivering client-facing and executive-level presentations
