Preconstruction Manager - Industrial Construction

In this role, you lead preconstruction efforts for medium to large industrial projects, driving accuracy in estimates, schedules, and strategy. You will align to the company's client-focused mission, coordinating with design partners, trade allies, and internal teams to set projects up for profitable, on-time delivery. You'll shepherd preconstruction through to hand-off to operations, balancing risk and value. • Ensure accuracy of estimating, scheduling, strategy, and communication throughout the preconstruction process
• Monitor weekly progress, flag risks, and propose timely changes to protect cost and schedule
• Coordinate building systems and schedules with trades, engineering, design/build teams to plan and budget for safety
• Make timely decisions and involve leadership for higher-risk issues
• Drive standardization of operating practices and reporting across business units
• Collaborate with operations, preconstruction, business development and other stakeholders to ensure profitable turnover with complete hand-off documentation
• Understand client needs, local logistics, and how BIM/LEED/LEAN can be leveraged for efficiency
• Establish and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and colleagues; develop third-party relationships as opportunities arise
• Lead preconstruction meetings when appropriate
• Adhere to company policies and procedures
• Be open to other duties and travel as required

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field; equivalent experience considered
• Minimum 8 years of extensive estimating and/or project management in industrial construction
• Proven history of leading, teaching, developing and mentoring others
• Ability to evaluate and interpret technical drawings
• Strong client relations and communication skills
