Responsibilities- Lead projects and provide technical guidance to partners to ensure safe, high-quality execution
- Manage and develop direct reports; conduct performance conversations
- Plan work sequences to meet schedules and allocate personnel and equipment
- Track earned value and forecasted completion percentages
- Inspect ongoing and completed work for conformance to specs and quality standards
- Enforce safety practices and reduce hazards on site
- Apply Lean principles (pull planning, six-week look ahead, value mapping)
- Budget projects by estimating labor hours and manage material takeoffs and changes to scope
- Coordinate withPurchasing, Quality Control, Engineering to support activities and schedules
- Conduct pre-job planning meetings to communicate contract terms and project requirements
- Resolve productivity issues, interfaces, and manpower constraints
- Maintain cross-department liaison to ensure necessary materials and inspections are available
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in construction-related field or equivalent with 5-7 years of relevant experience
- Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means, and methods
- Expert knowledge of building products, construction details, rules, regulations, and standards
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, coordination/BIM drawings, submittals, specs, and job orders
- Ability to plan broadly and manage complex projects; strong crisis and conflict management skills
- Leadership and time-management capabilities; strong communication and collaboration
- Must possess all relevant licenses and certifications; Construction Superintendent certification preferred
