Overview

As Principal HRIS Analyst, you will lead the administration and optimization of Workday HCM to enable accurate, scalable people data and processes. You will partner with HR, Payroll, IT, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable HR systems, reporting, and improvements aligned with our mission to change lives through education. You will drive system upgrades, security, and data governance while guiding a small HRIS team to ensure data integrity and efficient operations. This role offers impact across the organization as we expand our education services and student reach. You will shape the Workday roadmap and mentor others to advance HR technology maturity.

Responsibilities
  • Lead functional expertise and administration for Workday HCM modules (Core HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Recruiting, Talent, Performance, Absence)
  • Drive system optimization, testing, maintenance, upgrades, and enhancements in Workday HCM
  • Collaborate with HR, Payroll, IT, and stakeholders to design scalable HR solutions
  • Manage Workday releases, assess impacts, and coordinate testing/deployment
  • Ensure security roles, workflows, and processes comply with policies and compliance
  • Troubleshoot complex HRIS issues and manage escalations
  • Develop and maintain Workday reports and sprint projects
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality of HR data
  • Lead HR systems projects, integrations, and process improvements
  • Create and maintain system documentation, procedures, and training materials
  • Establish and promote HRIS best practices and standards
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field
  • 5+ years of HRIS experience with extensive Workday HCM administration
  • 2+ years leading projects or supervising staff
  • Strong experience with Workday processes, reporting, security, and configuration
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
