Overview As an Associate Actuary in North America Property, you help drive profitable pricing and risk management for Retail and Canada segments. You will work with cross-functional teams to streamline pricing and reserving processes, and to integrate catastrophe model results into pricing decisions. You will partner with pricing, cat modeling, and reserving actuaries to align methodologies across underwriting platforms. This role offers impact through pricing optimization, risk assessment, and targeted recommendations to support growth and stability in a dynamic market.

Responsibilities- Support North America Property pricing and reserving efforts across Retail and Canada
- Streamline processes across Property segments and coordinate with cat modeling and reserving teams
- Develop pricing and underwriting strategies with Chief Underwriting Office to identify growth opportunities and profitability-improvement areas
- Review pricing system parameters, improve pricing systems, and monitor pricing adherence
- Coordinate pricing, planning, and accumulation with cat modeling to balance risk-adjusted returns and capital needs
- Create analytical tools to help underwriters assess insureds and align pricing across platforms
- Provide quarterly Canada Property Programs rate indications
- Collaborate with reserving actuaries to understand reserve development and the impact of pricing actions
Key requirements- 5+ years of commercial lines actuarial experience, preferably with commercial property pricing
- ACAS (Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society) or higher
- Exceptional communication skills for presenting analyses to senior management
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment
- Solid understanding of catastrophe modeling fundamentals
