Overview In this Civil Estimator role, you will prepare detailed, accurate estimates for solar and battery energy storage projects and align them with project goals. You'll collaborate with business development, engineering, and project delivery to craft competitive bids and support execution strategies. You will refine estimating processes, maintain cost data, and assess risks to improve planning and cost efficiency. This is a cross-functional, impact-driven position within a leading renewable energy team.

Responsibilities- Develop detailed civil cost estimates for solar and battery energy storage projects
- Collaborate with business development, engineering, and project delivery to align estimates with strategy
- Refine civil estimating processes and templates to improve accuracy and efficiency
- Maintain estimating tools, historical cost data, and productivity assumptions
- Prepare project cost estimates aligned with RFPs for utility-scale renewable projects
- Evaluate project opportunities with internal teams to optimize costs
- Identify project risks and support mitigation strategies
- Participate in pre-bid meetings, client discussions, and estimate reviews
- Conduct site visits and document findings to improve estimate quality and planning
Key requirements- Experience in heavy civil construction, estimating, construction management, and/or project management
- Knowledge of cost estimating practices and estimating software such as InEight or similar
- Experience using takeoff software such as Bluebeam, AgTek, or similar
- Understanding of earthwork, foundations, roads, drainage, and site development activities
- Experience preparing or supporting project estimates for construction projects
- Effective communication
