Overview As Lead Behavioral Economist, you will steer a federal court system engagement, guiding the redesign of the Probation and Pretrial Services Office bond report to reflect risk accurately. You will collaborate with PPSO staff to structure information for objective release decisions, focusing on the Pretrial Risk Assessment (PTRA) tool. You'll oversee all project aspects, ensuring rigorous analysis and clear communication with stakeholders. This role offers meaningful impact by shaping decision-making processes in criminal justice settings and contributing to reform-oriented objectives.
Responsibilities- Serve as project lead/principal investigator and manage all project aspects
- Provide behavioral economics consulting to redesign the PPSO bond report
- Advise on essential information needed for bond decisions and report structure
- Support up to five PPSO administrators and staff in implementation
- Conduct behavioral economic assessments, econometric analysis, and report writing as required
- Coordinate with federal client and ProSidian team to meet BPA requirements
Key requirements- Experience in behavioral economics consulting within criminal justice or related fields
- Preference for community corrections (probation/parole) experience
- Experience in behavioral economic assessments, econometric/statistical analysis, and research leadership
- Master's Degree in a qualifying field
