Overview OverviewA Laboratory Manager provides leadership, development, and fiscal management to multi-disciplinary clinical services. They are accountable for the development, maintenance, and documentation of all process improvement and quality assurance initiatives within their area of responsibility. They assist with leadership of the Laboratory department services in collaboration with the Director. Responsibilities- Develop and mentor staff across clinical disciplines
- Recommend quality and efficiency indicators aligned with strategic initiatives
- Address customer inquiries and drive corrective actions
- Prepare and report on process improvement and compliance activities
- Support a robust process improvement program and document policies/procedures
- Maintain an up-to-date regulatory compliance plan and assist with lab billing accuracy
- Contribute to annual operational budget, cost tracking, and capital equipment justification
- Lead strategic planning and cross-functional collaboration to meet service and growth goals
- Ensure training, competency, and performance evaluation across staff
- Oversee infection control, safety, and regulatory adherence in day-to-day operations
Key requirements- Bachelor in Clinical Laboratory Science or Biological Science
- Certification as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologist (ASCP preferred; AMT acceptable)
- 5 years of clinical laboratory experience with 3 years in supervision/management preferred
- Systems integration experience
- Strong English communication skills
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend English
- Experience with compliance and regulatory standards (FDA, CLIA)
