Arco Excavation & Paving is currently seeking a skilled, dependable, and safety-minded Class A CDL Lowboy Heavy Haul Driver to join our team in Bentonville, AR. If you have a proven track record of moving heavy machinery, handling oversized loads, and operating with absolute precision, we want to talk to you.
As a key member of our crew, you will ensure our heavy equipment safely reaches active job sites across the region, keeping our excavation, paving, and utility projects moving forward.
Responsibilities:
- Operate lowboy and RGN (Removable Gooseneck) trailers to transport heavy construction equipment (excavators, dozers, pavers, etc.).
- Safely load, unload, and secure oversized machinery using heavy-duty chains, binders, and straps.
- Plan routes efficiently, ensuring compliance with local weight restrictions, oversized permit requirements, and DOT regulations.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs promptly.
- Coordinate closely with dispatch, project managers, and job site foremen to ensure timely deliveries.
Qualifications:
- License: Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Experience: Minimum of 4+ years of verified experience operating lowboy/heavy haul trailers.
- Skills: Expert knowledge of DOT cargo securement rules, weight distribution, and oversized load handling.
- Physical Ability: Able to climb onto equipment, throw chains, and work in various outdoor weather conditions.
- Attributes: Strong communication skills, great spatial awareness, and a safety-first mindset.
