Construction Superintendent

Stable D.C. Metro Area general contractor in business since 1970 seeks a Construction Superintendent to lead field teams and own superintendent and project management duties across multiple local sites. This role will focus primarily on hospital and medical facilities, small base-building projects, high-end interiors, historical renovations, and some residential construction. The Superintendent leads crews independently while working with a dedicated project manager and coordinator, with responsibility for field supervision, project administration, and client and subcontractor coordination. Candidates should submit a complete work history and be proficient with computers.

Responsibilities

• Lead crews independently and supervise field operations across assigned projects.
• Own superintendent and project management duties from project startup through completion.
• Coordinate trades, Subcontractors, clients, and Project Managers.
• Work with the dedicated Project Manager and Coordinator to support project execution.
• Manage project schedules and coordinate work across multiple local sites.
• Monitor quality control and ensure work meets project requirements.
• Maintain safety compliance throughout project activities.
• Coordinate materials and support timely project execution.

Preferred Qualifications

• Three or more years of construction supervision experience.
• Three or more years of construction experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification.
