Pharmacy Technician - Long-Term Care Pharmacy
Greensburg, PA 15601 $24.45/Hour + Shift Differential

We are hiring Pharmacy Technicians for both first- and second-shift opportunities in Greensburg, PA. If you have pharmacy experience, enjoy working in a structured pharmacy environment, and want a role with consistent scheduling options, this could be a great fit.

Available Shifts
First Shift
- Rotating schedule; workdays may change every two weeks
- 8:00 AM-4:30 PM or 9:00 AM-5:30 PM
- Every other weekend, 9:00 AM-5:30 PM
- Must be available to work any day of the week
- Two holidays per year
Second Shift
- Rotating schedule; workdays may change every two weeks
- 3:00 PM-11:00 PM or 2:00 PM-10:00 PM
- Must be available to work any day of the week
- Two holidays per year
- Additional $1.00/hour shift differential
Please note: Both shifts require schedule flexibility, including weekends and holidays.
What You'll Do
- Fill prescriptions and assist with medication preparation under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.
- Prepare IV medications as assigned and within applicable training and authorization.
- Enter prescription and billing information into the pharmacy computer system to support accurate processing and reimbursement.
- Prepackage medications according to established procedures and applicable regulations.
- Assist with prescription processing, final-check preparation, packaging, and coordination of timely medication delivery.
- Receive, organize, rotate, and maintain pharmaceutical inventory and supplies.
- Track medication lot numbers and expiration dates and assist with physical inventory counts.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy environment.
- Check pharmacy equipment for cleanliness, safety, and proper calibration as assigned.
- Follow pharmacy policies, safety procedures, and applicable state and federal regulations.
Qualifications
- Must be licensed or registered as a Pharmacy Technician in the state of Pennsylvania.
- Pharmacy technician experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to medication safety.
- Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced pharmacy environment.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Willingness to work a rotating schedule, weekends, and two holidays per year.
- Ability to work collaboratively with pharmacists, pharmacy leadership, billing staff, and other pharmacy team members.
