OVERVIEW
Work onsite in a fulfillment environment supporting prescription processing, data entry, and order fulfillment (count/fill/label/pack/ship) while following HIPAA and quality guidelines.
Pharmacy Technician 1 Compensation
- $19.00 per hour paid biweekly
- Benefits available after 90 days
- 401(k) with company match after 1 year of service on eligibility dates
Pharmacy Technician 1 Highlights
- Contract assignment (6 months) with potential to hire permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
- Onsite position
- Schedule: 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM Tuesday-Saturday (Sunday & Monday off)
Pharmacy Technician 1 Responsibilities
- Process prescription exceptions (including claim rejects) and complete member/physician outreach as needed
- Enter patient demographics and prescription information into the system
- Research and resolve rejected insurance billing issues and escalated member issues
- Escalate prescription questions to a Pharmacist for interpretation/direction
- Assist with inbound and/or outbound patient or physician calls
- Run automated machinery; sort medications and move inventory through workflow stages with quality control focus
- Count and fill prescriptions; affix labels; pack and ship orders
- Maintain an orderly work area and help clean/maintain equipment
- Resolve Third Party Rejects by reviewing issues, correcting, and resubmitting per plan requirements
- Provide support to Pharmacists in the facility and other locations; communicate issues to senior staff as appropriate
- Other duties as assigned
Pharmacy Technician 1 Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days
- Active Ohio Pharmacy Technician license/registration (in good standing)
- Pharmacy Technician experience (0-2 years; prior retail or fulfillment experience is a plus)
- Comfortable working in a safety-sensitive environment and handling PHI (HIPAA)
- Basic computer skills and ability to navigate online systems
- Keyboarding skills (about 25 WPM or more)
- Able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs (with or without reasonable accommodation)
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
Pharmacy Technician 1 Preferred Qualifications
- Active PTCB (CPhT) or ExCPT certification
- 6 months-2 years of pharmacy technician experience in a retail or fulfillment environment
- Ohio technician license with at least 1 year remaining before expiration (preferred)
