Job Description Job Description
Running a one-man shop? Keep the work. Drop the paperwork.
If you run your own electrical LLC or sole proprietorship, keep reading.
You're good at the trade. But you're also the dispatcher, the bookkeeper, the estimator, the marketing department and the guy chasing payments at 9 at night. If you're tired of the other half of the job, this is for you.
Atomic Electric Service is a licensed residential and light commercial electrical contractor based in Powell, serving Knox, Blount, Anderson, Loudon and Sevier counties. We've built the back office so our electricians can focus on electrical work. One of our electricians ran his own business before joining us. He brought his customers with him, we took over his phones, scheduling, website and billing, and his old business still pays him through a referral arrangement.
What you get:
- Steady, scheduled work. No hunting for your next job
- Full dispatch, scheduling, billing and customer service support
- No more marketing spend, lead fees or chasing invoices
- A referral arrangement if you bring your existing customers, number and website with you
- Take-home company vehicle after 90 days
- 100% company-paid employee medical, dental and vision
- 3% SIMPLE IRA match
- 80 hours vacation plus 10 paid holidays
- Company-paid short- and long-term disability
- Monday through Friday schedule
What we're looking for:
- Active Tennessee electrical license (LLE or higher)
- Experience running residential service calls on your own
- Current or former owner-operators strongly preferred
- Comfortable talking with homeowners and presenting options
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Fits our S.H.I.F.T. values: Skilled, Humble, Inquisitive, Friendly, Thorough
This isn't about giving up what you built. It's about keeping your customers and your reputation without carrying the whole business on your back.
No pressure. Apply here and let's have a conversation.
