FACILITY INFORMATION
  • No. of Beds in Department: 32 beds (10 LDRP, 16 postpartum/gyn, antepartum, exam rooms)
  • EMR System: Epic
  • Specialty Backup Available: OB/GYN, Anesthesia, Nursing support
  • Support Staff Available: NPs, midwives, OR staff
PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE
  • Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
REQUIRED PROCEDURES
  • Vaginal deliveries
  • Cesarean sections
  • Gynecologic surgeries (e.g., hysterectomy, D&C)
  • Management of antepartum and postpartum patients
  • Level 2 nursery newborn care
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Other Qualifications: Current EPIC experience required; MUSC credentialing checklist required
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide 24-hour call coverage for OB/GYN department, including labor and delivery.
  • Manage vaginal and cesarean deliveries, ensuring maternal and neonatal safety.
  • Provide antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care for patients.
  • Perform gynecologic surgical procedures as needed.
  • Collaborate with nursing and midwifery staff, while independently managing call responsibilities.
