Allied Control Services, Inc. (ACS) is currently seeking a full time Industrial Control Panel Technician in our Lansdale area manufacturing facility. Founded in 1989, we are an industry leading, factory certified Rockwell Automation and Schneider Electric control systems integrator in the Northeast USA. Our West Point PA facility provides UL-508A and UL698A control panels for thousands of industrial and commercial applications annually. Experience is preferred but we will train the right candidate.
Principal Responsibilities:
Assemble and wire electrical control panels using point to point wiring using schematics. '
Working with both DC low voltage and Low Voltage AC (3-Phase, 575 Vac)
Responsible for equipment wiring and point to point testing
Layout control panels using drawings supplied by engineering.
Use of power tools to drill and tap, cut holes and mount panel mount controllers.
Using a DVM and other test equipment, perform evaluations of electrical assemblies for continuity, current, functionality, and voltage.
Periodically checks product per company policy to ensure quality and uniform completion.
Report defective materials or questions conditions to supervisor.
Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
Performs in accordance with all company policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Competencies:
Ability to read and understand schematics, electrical wiring diagrams, and component layouts.
Ability to follow instructions, both verbal and written.
Ability to use basic hand tools (drills, wire cutter, wire stripper, etc )
Job Qualifications
Valid Driver's license and High School Diploma.
Strong desire to learn and develop in the industrial automation industry.
Self-motivated and willingness to continually develop career skillsets.
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time, climb ladders and lift over 50 lbs.
electrical and wiring experience desired but not required
Must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
Ability to differentiate between colored wires, tabs, and electronic components.
