Job Description
Hess Plumbing & Well Service is seeking a dependable, hardworking Plumber Helper / Well Service Technician to join our team!
This is a hands-on position involving a variety of plumbing and water well service projects. We're looking for someone who enjoys working with their hands, solving problems, and learning new skills. Previous plumbing, mechanical, or construction experience is a plus, but we're willing to train the right person who has a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of residential plumbing systems.
- Install and service pressure tanks, water treatment systems, and water heaters.
- Assist with diagnosing and repairing water well pumps and mechanical well system issues.
- Support new water well system installations and repairs.
- Install and repair underground water piping and electrical lines.
- Troubleshoot plumbing and mechanical equipment.
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and other equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Work alongside experienced technicians to complete projects efficiently.
Qualifications
- Previous plumbing, mechanical, construction, or general labor experience preferred but not required.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, digging, and working outdoors.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Dependable, punctual, and willing to learn.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license required.
