Urologist Job Requirements
- Board-certified Urologist
- Ability to provide weekend urology call coverage and respond within 30 minutes when needed
- GME teaching experience preferred, with comfort supervising and supporting residents
- Ability to obtain emergency privileges during onboarding
- Comfort using a personal phone for off-site call coverage
Urologist Responsibilities
- Provide every-other-weekend urology call coverage from Friday evening through Monday morning
- Evaluate and manage routine urology cases, including difficult Foley placements and kidney stones
- Respond to clinical needs within the required 30-minute timeframe
- Support PA-led initial assessments and intervene when physician-level evaluation or treatment is needed
- Collaborate with residents and the academic care team to promote safe, high-quality patient care
- Manage an anticipated low-volume call schedule while remaining available for urgent urology consultations
