CNC Milling Machinist Location: Whippany, NJ Job Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire Pay Rate: $36.38 per hour Schedule: Monday-Friday, 3:30 PM-12:00 AM Overtime: Available Job Description Synerfac Technical Staffing is seeking an experienced CNC Milling Machinist for a full-time, direct-hire opportunity with an established manufacturer in Whippany, NJ. The successful candidate will set up and operate CNC milling machines to produce precision components for electromechanical actuation systems while ensuring all parts meet strict quality and dimensional requirements. Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC milling machines using blueprints, setup sheets, tooling instructions, and manufacturing procedures. Review setup procedures and specifications to determine machining sequences and finished part dimensions. Install fixtures, position stock, assemble cutting tools, and adjust tooling and fixtures as needed. Monitor machining operations and verify finished parts against engineering drawings. Make machine adjustments to ensure parts meet design specifications and required tolerances. Use precision measuring instruments and appropriate inspection techniques to verify first-piece acceptance and conduct in-process inspections. Perform preventative maintenance on machines, tools, and test equipment. Collaborate with engineering personnel to develop and improve manufacturing processes. Write and modify basic G-code and troubleshoot machining, tooling, fixture, and programming issues. Perform machining calculations and setup measurements. Follow established manufacturing, quality, and safety procedures. Preferred Qualifications Vocational training or relevant machining certification. Experience reading blueprints and using precision measuring instruments. Knowledge of grinding practices and surface finish requirements. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively in a team environment. Ability to follow detailed manufacturing procedures and maintain quality standards. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds. Ability to transport materials between work areas. Ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to work indoors in a manufacturing environment and wear required protective equipment. Compensation and Benefits The starting pay rate for this position is $36.38 per hour, with overtime opportunities available. Requirements CNC Machining Experience: At least 5 years of experience setting up and operating CNC milling machines to produce precision components with tight tolerances, including 0.001 inches. Blueprints and GD&T: Advanced ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, including ASME Y14.5 standards and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing. Technical Skills: Experience using precision measuring instruments, performing machine setups, making machining adjustments, and troubleshooting tooling or programming issues; ability to write basic G-code.
