We are an Underground Utilities Company that is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining various heavy equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
Duties - Perform brake repairs, mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical repairs on heavy equipment
- Conduct regular maintenance checks on equipment to prevent malfunctions
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues using schematics and diagnostic tools
- Utilize power tools to disassemble and reassemble heavy equipment components
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed
Experience - Proven experience as a mechanic, specializing in heavy equipment repair
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing Caterpillar/John Deere equipment is a plus
- Strong mechanical knowledge with expertise in Diesel Engines, hydraulics and electrical systems.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Valid Drivers license is required for this position as some work will need to be performed in the field.
