Assignment Details- Start: ASAP, once credentialed
- Duration: Ongoing
- Schedule: Approximately 1-2 weeks/month
- Clinic hours: 8a-5p
- Coverage type: Clinic + OR + Call
- Call: Beeper, approximately 1:3 or 1:4
- Call response: 15 minutes
- Setting: Inpatient and outpatient
- Volume: Approximately 10-16 patients/shift
- Rounding: Assigned patients
- Admissions: Not required
- Patient population: Men, women, transgender patients, and pediatric inpatients
- Support: 1 RN, 3 MAs, 4 APPs, and 7 office staff
- EMR: Cerner
- Credentialing: Approximately 60 days; temporary privileges available
Clinical Details- Outpatient Urology evaluations and follow-up
- Inpatient Urology rounding
- Surgical first assist for open and endoscopic procedures
- Robotic surgical assistance preferred
- Post-void residual testing
- Voiding trials and fill-and-void procedures
- Indwelling and suprapubic catheter placement
- Catheter placement over a wire
- Diagnostic cystoscopy and difficult catheter placement
- Urethral dilation and ureteral stent removal
- Cystograms
- InterStim troubleshooting
- Eligard/Firmagon injections
- Intravesical chemotherapy instillations
- Not all listed procedural skills are required; training available for select procedures
Requirements- BC/BE Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- No specific state license required to bid
- Clinical and surgical Urology experience required
- Surgical first assist experience required
- Comfortable providing beeper call coverage
- Robotic surgery experience preferred
- Cystoscopy experience helpful but not required
- Cerner experience preferred
- Hospital/surgical privileges required
Compensation- Facility is accepting bids
