About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Manager to lead daily operations at a licensed Starbucks location in San Diego.
Previous Starbucks experience is required. The ideal candidate understands Starbucks beverage preparation, service expectations, and operational routines and is ready to take ownership of store performance and team development.
This position oversees staffing, scheduling, training, inventory, customer service, and daily operational execution. We are looking for a leader who stays engaged on the floor, coaches effectively, and keeps the team organized during busy service periods.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
Lead daily store operations and establish clear expectations for service, quality, and teamwork.
Train and coach employees on Starbucks beverage preparation, customer service, and store procedures.
Oversee onboarding and ongoing development to build a confident, capable team.
Provide performance feedback and address concerns promptly and professionally.
Create a positive work environment built on accountability, communication, and respect.
Store Operations
Manage opening, closing, and daily operating procedures.
Prepare schedules that support business needs and appropriate staffing levels.
Maintain Starbucks brand standards within a licensed store environment.
Ensure equipment, workstations, and customer areas remain clean, organized, and ready for service.
Oversee food safety, sanitation, cash handling, and compliance with company procedures.
Execute seasonal beverage launches, promotions, and menu updates.
Customer Experience
Maintain a visible leadership presence and support the team during peak periods.
Deliver friendly, efficient service while maintaining beverage accuracy and consistency.
Resolve customer concerns professionally and support a welcoming store atmosphere.
Coach employees on building customer relationships and encouraging repeat visits.
Inventory & Business Performance
Manage product ordering, inventory levels, stock rotation, and waste control.
Monitor sales, labor, and product usage to identify opportunities for improvement.
Maintain product availability while controlling excess inventory.
Oversee cash reconciliation and loss prevention procedures.
Take ownership of store goals and communicate priorities to the team.
Qualifications
Previous experience working at Starbucks is required, either in a company-operated or licensed location.
Prior Starbucks Shift Supervisor, Assistant Store Manager, or Store Manager experience strongly preferred.
Demonstrated ability to lead shifts, coach employees, and manage daily operational priorities.
Working knowledge of Starbucks beverage preparation, service routines, and quality standards.
Experience with scheduling, inventory, ordering, and cash handling.
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to remain composed and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Flexible availability, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
