Summary
Level III installers work under the direction of an installation supervisor, lead installer, and/or Project Manager. They perform low voltage cabling and peripheral equipment installation including cable management components, operate a company vehicle, and perform materials runs and assist in the mobilization of projects.
Essential Functions
• Always contribute toward a positive team-oriented work atmosphere.
• Follow the installation "plan" set forth by the level 2, level 1, or lead installer and notify them of any changes required.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors.
• Interpret and understand a variety of written, oral, or graphic instructions.
• Conforms with all CCS safety training requirements.
• Maintain company-issued property and equipment to the standards set forth by management.
• Attend all safety meetings and complete all safety training.
• Consistently and promptly complete all required field-based safety tasks.
• Keep the job-site clean daily, and at every opportunity.
• Feed cables through access holes, roof spaces, or cavity walls to reach fixture outlets, positioning and terminating cables, wires, or strapping.
• Drill holes for wiring in wall studs, joists, ceilings, or floors.
• Lift, carry, setup and work for a regular 8-hour scheduled shift on ladders ranging from step to 22' extension.
• Lift and carry boxes of wire that can exceed 25lbs.
• Work with hand tools including drivers, wrenches, drills and saws on a level plane, vertical plane and overhead.
Qualifications
• 1-2 years of experience preferred.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred but not required.
• Basic knowledge of low-voltage systems.
• Clean drivers record to operate company vehicle.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, fully on-site position, and days and hours of work are Monday through
Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (hours may vary). Occasional evening work may be required as
job duties demand.
New employees who have been deemed ready by their supervisor may be assigned to cover
vacancies or may volunteer (with approval) for relief coverage on the on-call rotation schedule.
New employees will officially enter the rotation the first time a new schedule is issued after
they have been deemed ready.
Work Environment
This role is field based, requiring travel to various commercial job sites. Technicians should be
prepared to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and must be physically capable of
performing labor-intensive tasks, including lifting, climbing, and working on ladders or in
confined spaces.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an
employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to prolonged
periods of standing, kneeling, bending, climbing ladders, lifting equipment up to 35 lbs., or
more, and drive a company vehicle.
