This role involves sanding, inspecting, and assisting painters and masking technicians to ensure vehicles meet quality standards before paint application. Candidates should have a basic understanding of automotive paint processes and products. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Inspect vehicle panels and parts for paint defects, imperfections, or damage.
- Prepare vehicles and components for the masking and paint process.
- Sand vehicles and parts using proper tools and techniques to ensure surfaces are paint-ready.
- Assist masking technicians and painters with preparation-related tasks.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow company quality standards and safety procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Previous experience in an automotive paint shop, collision repair facility, or body shop preferred.
- Basic knowledge of automotive paint products, materials, and preparation techniques is a plus.
