Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns
- Perform advanced diagnostics and determine appropriate repair procedures
- Complete general automotive maintenance and repair across multiple makes and models
- Perform timing belt and timing chain repairs
- Diagnose and complete engine repairs and replacements
- Perform transmission-related repairs
- Evaluate, test, diagnose, and repair vehicles independently
- Maintain repair quality while working efficiently in a production-focused environment
Qualifications
- Approximately 8-10+ years of automotive repair experience preferred
- Strong general automotive repair and multi-make experience
- Advanced diagnostic, electrical, and drivability troubleshooting skills
- Experience with major repairs, including timing belts, timing chains, engines, and transmission-related work
- Ability to diagnose and complete repairs independently
- Proven ability to work efficiently, with a target of approximately 55 produced hours per week
- Professional tools appropriate for an experienced automotive technician
