As a PLC Programmer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining control systems within a defined scope. You will work closely with our engineering and production teams to ensure the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes, which will include onsite startup/commissioning at customer facilities, travelling to various sites. This role requires expertise in Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC software and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and program control systems using Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs.
- Implement and configure VFDs for various applications.
- Integrate and troubleshoot control systems to enhance production efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve automation issues.
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation of control systems and processes.
- Provide onsite technical support and training to maintenance and production staff.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in control systems engineering within the food and beverage industries, oil & gas, and water/wastewater systems.
- Proficiency in programming and troubleshooting Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs.
- Strong knowledge of VFDs and their applications in industrial settings.
- Experience with robotics integration and troubleshooting.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in Allen Bradley and Siemens control systems.
- Experience with other automation technologies and software (e.g., SCADA, HMI).
