CMM / Quality Technician

We are seeking a CMM / Quality Technician to join a manufacturing team in Madison, WI. This position is responsible for inspecting manufactured parts, fixtures, gauges, and tooling to ensure they meet customer and quality specifications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with precision measurement equipment and Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs).

What You'll Do

• Perform dimensional inspections and quality audits on manufactured parts
• Operate CMMs and other precision measurement equipment to verify part conformance
• Program and troubleshoot CMM equipment as needed
• Inspect parts, fixtures, gauges, and tooling against customer specifications
• Record and document quality inspection results
• Assist with identifying, segregating, and inspecting non-conforming material
• Support production teams with quality-related questions and inspection needs
• Maintain visual inspection standards and reference samples
• Communicate quality issues and findings with production and other internal teams

What we're looking for:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years of experience operating CMMs and standard metrology equipment
• At least 1 year of experience in a quality or manufacturing inspection environment
• Experience with precision measurement tools and dimensional inspection
• Ability to read and understand measurements, specifications, and quality requirements
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office/Excel
• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document inspection results
• Good communication skills and ability to work with both production and quality teams
