About the Role Carousel is seeking a talented and experienced Executive Chef to lead our kitchen operations, elevate food quality, and support our growing brand. This role requires a leader who thrives in a high-energy nightlife/sports lounge environment, can manage a busy kitchen, and deliver excellent guest experiences consistently. Key Responsibilities: Lead day-to-day back-of-house operations, ensuring smooth kitchen workflow Develop, refine, and execute a creative, high-quality menu aligned with Carousel brand standards Train, motivate, and supervise kitchen staff to maintain strong performance and teamwork Maintain exceptional standards for food presentation, taste, and consistency Ensure full compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations Oversee ordering, inventory control, vendor management, and cost management Monitor food cost, portion control, waste reduction, and profitability Create prep lists, standard recipes, and kitchen SOPs Collaborate with ownership and management on menu strategy, promotions, and events Support special events, game days, nightlife events, and high-volume nights Qualifications: Proven experience as an Executive Chef or Head Chef Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills Experience in high-volume restaurant, bar, lounge, or nightlife kitchen preferred Excellent knowledge of culinary techniques and kitchen operations ServSafe Certification or willingness to obtain Ability to work nights, weekends, and peak event days Passionate, reliable, disciplined, and team-oriented Preferred Skills: Menu development & recipe costing Kitchen staffing & scheduling Vendor & inventory management Ability to handle fast-paced service environments Creativity and passion for food innovation Compensation: Competitive salary (based on experience) Performance-based incentives / bonuses (if applicable) Opportunities to grow with the brand
