Scenic Finish Painter

We are a national special events company based in Nashville, TN with offices on both coasts. We are looking to add to our Art Department in Nashville.

We are looking to hire a Finish Painter with the following skills:

• 3-5 years experience as finish painter with knowledge of both water based,oil based and plural component paint and stain systems.
• Working knowledge of the use of HVLP paint guns ,pressure pots, and other power sprayers.
• Experienced in Faux finishes , graining, and color matching.
• Experience with textured finishes, and scenic painting is a plus.
• Must be detail oriented with a passion for perfection.
• Ability to work as a team player and also manage a team if necessary , the ability to multi task and maintain a positive attitude.
• Physically able to manage lifting/moving up to 50 lbs or more.
• A good understanding of tools and materials used in a scenic carpentry shop.
• Always keep a neat, clean and orderly work space.
• Ability to read and understand shop drawings, create a budget, and order specified materials.
• Willing to work long hours to meet deadlines which may include nights and weekend.
• Be willing to travel.
• Responsible for the painting and finishing of scenic elements,displays and other specialty components.

Bonus if you have knowledge of any of the following:

Welding: mig, tig, oxy-acetylene

Basic lamination techniques.

Sewing

Mural painting

Mold Making

Working with Acrylic

Also looking for carpentry assistants/acrylic assistants.

Salary commensurate with experience. We also offer a full benefits package and paid holidays.
