Join Aurora Material Solutions as a Research & Development Technician supporting day-to-day activities in our R&D Department. This position involves hands-on work in a manufacturing plant, including equipment operation, testing, and troubleshooting in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate fork trucks, twin and single screw extruders, and injection molding machines
- Weigh and mix raw materials and additives according to requirements
- Match and adjust color to meet established standards
- Conduct lab testing and complete all related paperwork accurately
- Assist in troubleshooting and problem-solving
- Perform general housekeeping and routine maintenance
- Provide additional lab support as needed
- Use IQMS system for documentation and reporting
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in plastics extrusion, lab testing, or related field is a plus
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to see and accurately discern color
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Comfortable working in a plant setting (temperature fluctuations, noise, dust, moving parts)
- Willingness to travel locally between company locations on occasion
