Anesthesiology Physician

An established acute care hospital in Northampton, Massachusetts , is seeking Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Anesthesiologists for locum tenens coverage starting January 4, 2027 . Earn $400/hour while working a consistent weekday schedule with no call responsibilities.

This is an excellent opportunity for anesthesiologists experienced in independent practice, a variety of surgical specialties, and regional anesthesia techniques.

• Case Mix: General surgery, plastics, orthopedics, urology, gynecology, endoscopy, and healthy pediatric cases

• Regional Anesthesia: Strongly preferred

• Nerve Blocks: Must be comfortable performing various blocks, including pediatric blocks

• Endoscopy Volume: Providers should be comfortable managing approximately cases per day

• Schedule: Monday Friday, 7:00 AM 3:00 PM

• Shift Length: 8 hours per day

• Call: No call

• Minimum Commitment: 3 weeks per month

• Orientation: 8 hours

• Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 90 days

The facility is seeking dependable physicians who can provide consistent, reliable coverage.

• Pay Rate: $400 per hour

• Consistent weekday schedule

• No call responsibilities

• Eight-hour shifts

• Travel is not provided separately; the arrangement is all-inclusive.

• Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Anesthesiology

• Active Massachusetts Medical License Required

• ABA certification or eligibility

• BLS Required

• ACLS Required

• DEA Registration Required

• Minimum 1 year of experience

• Epic charting experience

• Ability to practice independently without supervision

• Experience with regional anesthesia and pediatric blocks strongly preferred

• Must be available for at least 3 weeks per month

Please note: Massachusetts licensure must already be in place. The facility is not accepting candidates who require assistance obtaining a state license.
