Overview In this role you will lead customer contracting and subcontracting activities across US government, defense primes, commercial, and international clients. You act as the primary business partner for contract formation, negotiations, and administration, balancing risk with timely execution. You will work withSales, Program Management, Finance, Procurement, Operations, Legal and others to develop practical contracting strategies. You will identify contract risks and craft commercially reasonable solutions to enable business success. This is a high-impact, cross-functional role in a fast-paced, aerospace-focused environment.

Responsibilities- Lead contract activities from proposal through closeout
- Draft, review, analyze, and negotiate contracts and related documents
- Negotiate complex terms with government, aerospace primes, and international customers
- Develop negotiation strategies, fallback positions, and balance protection with business objectives
- Identify contractual risks and determine escalation needs
- Review RFQs/RFPs for requirements, risks, and approvals
- Ensure contracts reflect scope, price, schedule, IP/data rights, liability, indemnification, termination, and changes
- Manage amendments, changes, stop-work actions, claims, and other post-award matters
- Maintain knowledge of FAR, DFARS, commercial contracting practices, and acquisition requirements
- Support governance on commerciality determinations, true costs, data rights, and related submissions
- Prepare leadership approval packages for deviations and maintain standard templates and precedents
- Coach and guide contracts personnel and ensure workload coverage
- Collaborate with Sales, PM, Finance, Procurement, Ops, and Engineering to resolve issues
- Coordinate with Security/Export Compliance for export-controlled or classified programs
- Drive continuous improvement and automation of contract administration processes
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Contract Management, Legal Studies, or related field
- 8-10 years of progressively responsible contracts/subcontracts management experience
- Experience negotiating complex agreements with US Government or regulated customers
- Strong knowledge of FAR/DFARS and commercial contracting practices
- Experience with firm-fixed-price contracts and complex engineered products or services
- Ability to draft, analyze, interpret, and negotiate complex contractual language
- Ability to develop practical, commercially reasonable solutions with risk controls
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for senior leadership
- Excellent organizational skills with multiple negotiations and priorities
- Authorized to access export-controlled information; willingness to travel domestically and internationally
