As a Farm Drainage Laborer, you will support agricultural tile drainage projects through local daily travel between farm sites. Reporting to the site supervisor, you will assist with drainage installation, trenching, excavation, equipment operation, site preparation, pipe connections, and soil backfilling while working with hand tools, excavators, skid steers, trucks and trailers.
Responsibilities
- Support agricultural tile drainage installation projects.
- Perform trenching and provide excavation support.
- Assist with the operation of hand tools, backhoes, excavators, skid steers, trucks, and trailers.
- Prepare job sites for drainage installation.
- Make pipe connections.
- Complete soil backfilling activities.
- Travel locally between farm sites each day.
- Follow direction from the site supervisor on job sites.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Entry-level experience in agricultural drainage installation.
- Physical stamina.
- Teamwork skills.
- Must be punctual and dependable work habits.
