Opportunity Overview
  • Gastroenterology coverage with 24-hour call
  • Full availability Monday-Sunday preferred
  • Full weeks preferred, or as many consecutive days as possible
  • Urgent privileges may be used if needed
  • Adult patient population
  • Approximately 15-20 patients per day
  • EPIC EMR
Schedule & Coverage
  • 24-hour call coverage
  • Office hours: 8:00 AM-4:00 PM
  • Procedure hours: 7:30 AM-3:30 PM
  • Office and procedure days vary based on availability
  • Typically up to 2 procedure days per week
  • Weekday call includes 8 hours of patient contact
  • Weekend 24-hour call
  • Call-back applies when the provider is called back into the hospital
  • Rounding is not required unless specifically requested
Clinical Details
  • Evaluate and manage adult gastroenterology patients
  • Perform in-person consultations and procedures
  • Upper and lower endoscopy
  • EGD
  • Colonoscopy
  • PEG tube placement
  • Esophageal dilation
  • ERCP and EUS are referred to another facility when needed
  • Diagnose and manage a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions
  • Collaborate with NP, LPN, anesthesia, and other medical staff
Requirements
  • Gastroenterology Physician
  • MD/DO
  • Board Certified
  • Minimum 2 years of recent experience
  • Active New York license in hand
  • BLS and ACLS
  • AHA or RQI certification
  • EPIC experience required
  • Recent PEG tube placement and esophageal dilation experience
  • Upper and lower scope experience
  • No malpractice history accepted
  • Current, complete work history with no unexplained gaps of 30+ days
  • Residents and fellows not accepted
  • Agency-branded CV required at submission
  • Candidate email and phone number required at submission
