Overview

In this role, you will lead the Gas Team to deliver complex subsurface gas and electric utility projects, shaping strategy and guiding multidisciplinary teams from planning through closeout. You will oversee staffing, budgets, and quality controls to ensure safe, reliable energy delivery. You will partner with leadership to monitor performance and drive continuous improvement in safety, schedule, and cost. This opportunity offers remote or multi-site work and a path to develop the next generation of technical leaders in a collaborative, high-impact environment.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and inspire a team of gas engineering professionals with a focus on morale, collaboration, and technical excellence
  • Oversee staffing, resource allocation, and operational activities to deliver gas infrastructure projects
  • Mentor and develop staff to meet safety, schedule, and budget expectations
  • Manage subsurface gas and electric utility infrastructure projects from planning through closeout
  • Monitor project financial performance and identify improvement opportunities
  • Maintain clear communication with leadership and project teams with performance updates
  • Champion quality control, risk management, regulatory compliance, and audits to support safe, reliable gas solutions
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Environmental, or related Engineering; Master's preferred
  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive engineering experience including technical leadership and client-facing PM experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • Experience managing utility infrastructure projects
  • Strong knowledge of QA/QC, engineering practices, and applicable laws
  • Advanced proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Microsoft Office
  • Proven leadership of multidisciplinary teams and client-focused delivery
  • Strong communication skills (one-on-one and public speaking)
  • Experience in natural gas transmission and distribution systems, permitting, and regulatory compliance preferred
