Job Title: Junior Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Warwick, RI - 100% onsite
Duration: Permanent, Direct-Hire
Shift: 1st Shift, Monday-Friday
Role Overview
We are seeking a Junior Manufacturing Engineer to support manufacturing operations and continuous improvement initiatives. In this role, you will collaborate with Production, Quality Assurance, Design Engineering, and Supply Chain to troubleshoot production issues, streamline workflows, and develop reliable manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on engineering support throughout assembly and manufacturing operations.
- Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and support corrective actions.
- Create, maintain, and improve work instructions, procedures, and technical documentation.
- Develop and optimize fixtures, tooling, and other production aids.
- Identify and implement improvements to productivity, quality, ergonomics, workflow, and material flow.
- Support the adoption of automation and new manufacturing technologies.
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI), equipment implementation, and process validation activities.
- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to review drawings, BOMs, specifications, and other technical documentation.
- Collect and analyze manufacturing data to troubleshoot issues, identify improvement opportunities, and support data-driven production decisions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline required.
- Previous experience in engineering, manufacturing, or a related technical environment. Internships, co-ops, and relevant academic projects are strongly encouraged and may count toward experience requirements.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, production equipment, materials, and engineering drawings.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities, with a willingness to work hands-on and support operations directly on the manufacturing floor.
- Ability to clearly document processes, create technical documentation, and communicate effectively with both technical and production teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
