A-Line Staffing is now hiring a Pediatric 1:1 Registered Nurse (RN) - G-Tube & Trach Care
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:00 PM, Friday is approximately 2 hours shorter
- Training will be provided either in the student's home or at school with her current RN and/or parent.
- Details: A 1 on 1 RN is needed for a student who requires health support and monitoring per her IEP. Student is medically complex and fragile and requires care and breathing treatments throughout the school day. The RN would accompany the student from her home to school on the bus, accompany her throughout the school day, and then return on the bus.
- Pay Rate - $66.91 an hour paid weekly
Key Responsibilities
- Provided dedicated 1:1 nursing care and health monitoring for a medically complex and medically fragile middle school student in accordance with her IEP.
- Provided comprehensive nursing care and respiratory support, including breathing treatments and ongoing assessment throughout the school day.
- Accompanied the student safely to and from school via bus while maintaining continuous medical supervision.
- Assessed student health needs and coordinated referrals to appropriate physicians and specialists as needed.
- Administered medications and maintained accurate documentation of dosages, administration, and adverse effects.
- Maintained current and confidential medical records in compliance with school policies and applicable state regulations.
- Monitored changes in the student's condition and responded promptly to medical emergencies, accidents, and health concerns.
- Communicated student health needs and changes in condition to parents, teachers, instructional staff, and other members of the care team.
- Collaborated with physicians and healthcare providers to communicate the student's medical history, condition, and ongoing care needs.
- Assisted with medical appointments and physician clinics by providing relevant clinical information and supporting communication between the student, family, and healthcare providers.
- Educated students on personal hygiene, health promotion, and age-appropriate healthcare practices.
- Conducted routine health screenings and supported annual student health assessments.
- Administered immunizations and maintained required documentation in accordance with physician direction and state regulations.
- Supported coordination of medical appointments and ongoing healthcare services.
- Participated in emergency preparedness and provided appropriate nursing interventions during health-related incidents.
- Collaborated with school and residential staff to ensure continuity of care and adherence to individualized healthcare needs.
- Participated in sign language training to enhance communication and support students with hearing impairments.
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Arizona.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Experienced with G Tube Feeding & Trach Care
- Three years of experience, education or experience in pediatric nursing or urgent care nursing and knowledge of handicapped children preferred
- American Sign Language experience preferred
