REQUIRED PROCEDURES

- Office/minor gynecology (IUD, Cystoscopy, Colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP)
- Surgical gynecology
  - Open
  - Laparoscopic diagnostic/minor only (tubal ligation, LOA's, chronal tubation)
  - Operative/major (ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive LOA's)
  - Laser certification
Preferred
- Low risk pregnancy
- OB Ultrasounds (Performance of, interpretation)
  - Level I/Screening (viability)
  - Level II/Targeted (anatomic)
- Low forceps
- Decision-making for c-section
- Complicated delivery

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Board: Certified required
Licenses: Licensed in IA or Universal License (IMLC)
DEA: Active DEA required
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ATLS, PALS, ABLS
Fellowship: Preferred
Other Qualifications: Active Iowa Medicaid preferred (as confirmed in bid); EMR proficiency (MediTech, Athena)

Duties & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive obstetric care including deliveries, c-sections, and management of high-risk pregnancies.
Perform gynecologic procedures in office and surgical settings (e.g., IUD placement, colposcopy, laparoscopy).
Cover clinic hours Monday through Friday, seeing patients per day with support from NPs and nursing staff.
Participate in rotating call schedule ( day stretches) managing labor and delivery, emergency consults, and surgical back-up.
Collaborate with transferring facilities for NICU-level patients requiring Life Flight to Iowa City or Des Moines.
