Overview As Senior Production Underwriter you will drive profitable growth by blending sales, relationship management, and underwriting expertise in the Wholesale space. You will serve as a trusted advisor to agents, carriers, and internal teams to grow a high-quality book of business. The role combines business development with technical underwriting leadership to meet revenue and profitability goals. You'll engage cross-functionally to deliver comprehensive insurance solutions and lead a team toward continuous improvement and excellence.

Responsibilities- Develop and execute strategic marketing plans to win new clients and strengthen existing partnerships
- Engage in agency visits, networking, and meetings to generate submissions and market visibility
- Use consultative selling to provide value-added insurance solutions to agents and brokers
- Represent Acrisure at industry events and conferences to expand market presence
- Build a profitable, diversified book of business and strengthen carrier relationships
- Underwrite new and renewal submissions, prepare quotes and market submissions
- Maintain underwriting guidelines knowledge, gather information, and assess risk for binding
- Negotiate pricing and terms with carriers and agents, and guide on policy differences
- Ensure accurate underwriting documentation and compliance to minimize E&O exposure
- Lead and develop a team, including recruiting, coaching, performance management, and setting goals
Key requirements- Bachelor/related degree in relevant field; advanced degrees not specified
- Minimum 10 years of Wholesale insurance underwriting and brokerage experience
- Proven track record in production underwriting and business development
- Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products, risk assessment, and carrier markets
- State insurance licensing as required
- Professional designations such as CPCU, AU, CIC, CRIS, or equivalent preferred
- Excellent sales, marketing, negotiation, and presentation abilities
- Strong leadership, analytical, decision-making, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate across departments
