Responsibilities- Partner with leadership to define and execute the division's strategic vision and production objectives
- Drive profitable revenue growth through new business, retention, and market expansion
- Build and maintain executive-level relationships with retail agents, carriers, and industry stakeholders
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and strategic meetings
- Collaborate with executive leadership to set revenue goals, market strategies, and business plans
- Oversee underwriting performance, portfolio management, and brokerage operations
- Establish underwriting standards, best practices, and quality controls for profitability and compliance
- Guide teams on complex risks, market placement, and carrier negotiations
- Strengthen carrier partnerships to secure access, authority, and capacity
- Monitor underwriting results, loss ratios, audit outcomes, and operational performance
- Lead and develop Senior Production Underwriters and underwriting teams
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement
- Drive organizational change to align priorities with team execution
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Business, Risk Management, Insurance, Finance, or a related field
- 10+ years of wholesale insurance underwriting and brokerage experience with production success
- 7+ years of progressive leadership experience managing underwriting, sales, or production teams
- Extensive knowledge of commercial insurance products, wholesale markets, underwriting principles, and carrier relationships
- State insurance licensing required; professional designations (e.g., CPCU, CIC, AU, ARM, CRIS) preferred
