Overview In this role you will manage complex commercial electrical projects from pre-construction through closeout, ensuring on-time delivery and strict cost control. You'll work closely with field teams, clients, and vendors to drive project success within a leading Midwest electrical contractor. Expect ownership of multi-million dollar projects, hands-on technical oversight, and close alignment with safety and code standards. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role that shapes large-scale electrical construction in a growth-focused environment.

Responsibilities- Manage commercial electrical projects from pre-construction through closeout
- Own project budgets, schedules, forecasting, and cost controls
- Coordinate procurement and material delivery for just-in-time execution
- Lead collaboration across field teams, subcontractors, vendors, and clients
- Manage change orders including negotiation, documentation, and execution
- Monitor job progress, enforce safety standards, and ensure code compliance
- Run project meetings, prepare reports, and communicate with stakeholders
Key requirements- 5+ years of electrical project management experience on projects $5M+
- Strong hands-on background in electrical systems, materials, and industry standards
- Solid knowledge of construction processes and local codes
- Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, change orders, and procurement on complex projects
- Proficiency in Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam, or similar tools, plus Microsoft Office
- Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent experience
- PMP or equivalent certification is a plus
