  • Ultimate Company Culture, Training, Mentoring
  • If you want to grow your career you've found the right place!

The Opportunity

Do you enjoy figuring out how machines work-and how to make them work better?

ATCO Rubber Products is looking for a hands-on Manufacturing Equipment Engineer to join our team. This is a great opportunity for an engineer who enjoys being on the manufacturing floor, solving real equipment problems, and working alongside experienced maintenance, machining, fabrication, controls, and production professionals.

You'll have the opportunity to learn, grow, and expand your technical skills in a supportive environment with a strong team culture and hands-on training.

This isn't a desk-only engineering role. You'll get involved with the equipment-troubleshooting problems, improving reliability, rebuilding machinery, and helping take solutions from concept through installation and startup.

What You'll Do

  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electromechanical manufacturing equipment
  • Help lead equipment rebuilds, repairs, upgrades, and improvement projects
  • Identify recurring equipment problems and develop long-term solutions
  • Design and modify machine components, guarding, frames, fixtures, and mechanisms
  • Work side-by-side with maintenance and production teams to improve equipment uptime
  • Evaluate and troubleshoot bearings, shafts, motors, gearboxes, pneumatics, hydraulics, and power transmission systems
  • Create 3D CAD models, drawings, and bills of materials
  • Support equipment installation, startup, and commissioning
  • Improve machinery for safety, reliability, productivity, and ease of maintenance
  • Partner with machinists, fabricators, electricians, controls engineers, vendors, and production teams
  • Support preventive and predictive maintenance initiatives

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field
  • 5+ years of experience with industrial machinery, manufacturing equipment, machine design, maintenance, or equipment reliability
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Experience repairing, modifying, rebuilding, or improving industrial machinery
  • Knowledge of bearings, shafting, motors, gearboxes, pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical systems
  • Experience with Solid Edge, SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar 3D CAD software
  • Comfortable working directly on the manufacturing floor
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Most importantly, a hands-on attitude, curiosity, and willingness to learn

Why Join ATCO?

You'll join a team where engineers don't work in a silo. You'll collaborate with experienced people across maintenance, production, machining, fabrication, and controls while continuing to build your own expertise.

We offer a welcoming, team-oriented culture, hands-on training, opportunities to learn from experienced professionals, and room to grow your career within ATCO and Mueller Industries.

If you're an engineer who enjoys solving problems, working with machinery, and seeing the results of your work firsthand, we'd love to talk with you.
