Overview In this role you will support LatAm Surety portfolios by assessing financials for special acceptances, monitoring credit quality, and guiding renewal decisions. You will collaborate with underwriting, actuarial, operations, claims and accounting teams to maintain portfolio performance and diversification. You will manage broker and cedant relationships to deliver timely proposals and approvals, while ensuring adherence to underwriting guidelines. The position blends analytical underwriting with cross-functional partnership to support growth in Latin America and the Caribbean. Responsibilities- Perform financial analysis on principals and advise on special acceptances
- Assess client information for special acceptances per underwriting requirements
- Monitor credit rating changes and coordinate with brokers/clients to manage exposures
- Compare contract wording vs renewals and report discrepancies
- Apply aggregation controls to keep exposures within limits
- Evaluate renewal action with recommendations
- Develop and maintain broker/cedant relationships and deliver timely proposals
- Ensure written business complies with underwriting guidelines
- Support risk selection to meet target ratios and reduce portfolio volatility
- Collaborate with actuarial to improve pricing tools
- Coordinate with operations, claims, and accounting to keep records up to date
- Review and model surety quota share treaty renewals
Key requirements- Experience in P&C underwriting, insurance operations, brokerage, claims, risk management or related disciplines
- Surety and/or Latin America and Caribbean experience is a plus
- Strong numerical and analytical aptitude
- Ability to read and interpret financial statements
- Excellent written and verbal communication; bilingual English and Spanish required
- Strong communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated, curious, organized, and team-oriented
- Working knowledge of Excel; knowledge of SQL, Python, Tableau and Power BI is a plus
- Travel across Latin America and the Caribbean
