Overview In this role, you underwrite new and renewal E&S Property business, collaborating with a manager to apply Zurich's underwriting framework within delegated authority. You will engage with national wholesalers and brokers to drive profitable growth, while leveraging data, risk insights, and market knowledge to inform decisions. The position balances field presence with a hybrid office-based setup in Chicago, New York, or Atlanta, and emphasizes customer advocacy and end-to-end risk solutions. You will operate in a cross-functional environment to support brokers, customers, and internal teams.

Responsibilities- Underwrite new and renewal property business within delegated authority
- Interact with the market, brokers, and customers to provide end-to-end risk solutions
- Apply The Zurich Way of Underwriting Framework and enforce underwriting guidelines and rating rules
- Assess exposure, price risk, and use data/models to inform at-point decisions
- Market-facing production within the E&S Standard Property group and collaborate with national wholesalers
- Monitor compliance with insurance laws, regulations, and internal rules
- Handle moderately complex assignments within broad authority
- Maintain strong relationships with brokers and agents to drive growth and profitability
Key requirements- High School Diploma or Equivalent plus 1+ years in underwriting/market facing, OR 2+ years in claims or underwriting support, OR Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with Associate Degree and corresponding experience, PLUS knowledge of lines of business and regulatory guidelines and time restraints for quotes
