Overview As Sr. Tax Manager, you will oversee the tax department for a mid-sized public accounting firm and drive planning for a diverse client portfolio. You will lead preparation and review of key tax returns and provide strategic guidance on tax matters to clients and internal stakeholders. You will mentor a team of tax professionals, fostering high performance and professional growth. You will stay abreast of regulatory changes and shape firm tax policies to enhance compliance and advisory capabilities. Responsibilities- Manage and supervise preparation and review of tax returns (1040, 1041, 1120, and 1120SA)
- Provide strategic tax planning and advisory services to clients
- Lead and develop a team of tax professionals with high performance standards
- Coordinate and communicate with clients on tax compliance and planning
- Stay updated on tax law changes and assess impact on clients
- Assist in developing tax policies and procedures within the firm
Key requirements- Bachelor in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA certification (active)
- Minimum 7 years in public accounting with tax compliance and planning focus
- Master's degree or LLM in Taxation is preferred
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws
